Vintage Oak Cross Country Ski And Bamboo Poles With Leather/straps, handles... If these skis and poles could talk. Skis are oak, unbranded, but have the number 62 stamped in the wood near the toe, see pics.

Ski length is 76 1/2. Skis have old partial paper numbers "277".

I believe this is a race number for Birkiebiener. For those of you unfamiliar, this is a world renowned cross country ski race. Skiers come from all over the world and thousands participate in Hayward WI. I live 45 minutes from where this race takes place yearly.

The patina on these Skis are spectacular. The paper stickers on the Skis are old and brittle. The ski poles are bamboo with leather handles, straps, webbing, and the webbing circle for the lack of a better term is also wood. These must have had a special meaning to the owner as they are cracked wrapped in wire and taped. Just refused to give up on them. I won't separate these. They have been married many years ago and it wouldn't be right.
